I am not able to see my camera in the drive list? What am I doing wrong?
The issue is because the camera card is not detected by the system as a drive. You need to connect the card through a card reader to the system. After connected, just click the ‘refresh’ button on the option window.

I want to recover only my JPG files? How can I scan for only those?
If you want to shorten the scanning time and get improved scanning results then you may instruct the software to look for only one particular file type so that the software searches only for that particular file (for example : jpg) and provides you better results. Kindly follow the instructions below to perform selective scanning.

Does my card need to be connected to the system till the time of the recovery?
Yes. It is very important that you do not remove your media during the scan or recovery. Media should only be detached once the recovery process is completed.

Can I save my recovered data on the same drive?
No. The data cannot be saved on the same drive as it will lead to overwriting of data which in turn will result in permanent data loss.

I accidentally formatted my compact flash card and all my photos disappeared. Is it possible that my photos are recoverable?
I want to tell you that most of your photos will be recovered. Most digital cameras do not permanently erase the photographs on your compact flash card when you perform a "format". The photos are still on the compact flash card, they just aren't viewable. Unfortunately, some newer cameras have started writing "zeros" to every memory location when performing a "format". If your camera is one of these, your data will not be recovered.

What can I do if Windows does not recognize my SD card?
  • 1. First make sure if the USB cables are correctly connected.
  • 2. Then you can check the card on another computer.
  • 3. If the card is still not recognized, there must be more serious problems. Maybe you have to buy a new one. And NTShare Photo Recovery software can help you retrieve your precious data.

Last time, I reset my cell phone to the original factory settings. Before resetting, it didn't inform me that it would wipe the SD card. Fortunately, I got all my photos back from my mobile phone by using this software. It works. I am so happy.
